Sunday 8th March marks the 115th International Women’s Day (IWD).
IWD is the annual event earmarked to celebrate women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements.
It’s an opportunity for us all to reflect on the progress we’ve made towards gender equality and parity. As well as, contemplate the journey we have yet to travel.
According to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 2025 Global Gender Report it will take a staggering 123 years before we close the global gender gap. That’s roughly five generations to go.
It’s clear that we’ve come a long way since the first IWD was marked in 1911. But, we cannot shy away from the fact that there’s work yet to be done.
The simple truth is that we cannot rest on our laurels. We all have our part to play as individuals, and communities, but most importantly as businesses, to advance our progress.
This year’s #GivetoGain theme is a powerful reminder of the impact businesses can create when they share their time, expertise and opportunity.
It’s a call to action and one that aligns strongly with how we show up at Instep.
We work in close collaboration with business to help nurture future-focused leadership pathways for women to break barriers and lead with impact and purpose. As well as, developing and implementing learning and development programmes where every employee can contribute, grow and thrive.
To mark IWD, we’re investing in future leaders by offering five one‑to‑one coaching sessions with leadership and talent development specialist Annabel Hall.
Annabel specialises in coaching and developing women in, or aspiring to step into, leadership roles. She is committed to helping women navigate the realities of leadership, not an idealised version of it. This empowers them to lead with confidence, credibility and impact.
The sessions are designed to help individuals accelerate their growth, strengthen their confidence and unlock their potential.
You can nominate yourself or a colleague you feel would benefit from this opportunity.
Simply complete this short form explaining (150 words max.) what #GiveToGain means to you. And why you or your nominee would value this coaching experience.
The deadline for entries is Sunday 8th March (IWD 2026). And the winner will be announced on LinkedIn the week commencing 9th March.
Good luck.
