Salt Separation Services Ltd, in Rochdale, has recently invested heavily in professional development programmes for their staff, choosing to partner with Instep UK to do so.
Established in 1990, Salt Separation Services Ltd provides engineered water treatment solutions worldwide. Over the years, they have gained a strong reputation for manufacturing high-quality, reliable equipment, specialising in the design and manufacture of Reverse Osmosis plants used in defence, oil and gas, cruise and industrial applications.
When Robert Clark (People Manager) heard about the Lean Manufacturing training programmes available, fully funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s three-year Skills for Growth programme, he was keen to know more about how his team could access these. The Employer Engagement Team at Instep UK worked closely with Robert to understand the business’s needs and tailor a bespoke training solution to meet these needs.
A member of Robert’s production team who completed the Lean Foundation programme stated that the course
“was very informative and helpful not only in the workplace but in daily life”.
Whilst Robert reflected that the course content delivered by an efficient, knowledgeable and professional Instep team met their organisation’s needs and objectives.
When discussing how the training will make an impact at Salt Separation Service Ltd, Robert noted he anticipates the company becoming more efficient once they apply the Lean principles the course has introduced. He also expressed that he is expecting to see a greater satisfaction from employees, as a result of the investment they’ve made in staff training.
