At Instep, we’re thrilled to join forces with Hattrick in supporting Climate Literacy Action Day (CLAD) on November 14, 2024. This global event, coinciding with COP29, stands as the world’s largest initiative for climate education and action, and we’re proud to be part of it.
As a corporate training provider dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership, Instep is honoured to collaborate with Hattrick to make this year’s CLAD even more impactful.
Championing Climate Inclusion at CLAD 2024
This year, CLAD centers on the theme of “Climate Inclusion,” highlighting the importance of a diverse and inspired network of learners committed to climate action.
The day aims to empower individuals from all walks of life, showcasing how carbon literacy can drive positive change in any sector or role.
Last year, CLAD reached 2,300 learners across 225 organizations worldwide, and this year, we’re looking forward to expanding this global community even further.
Delivering the UN-Endorsed Net Zero Masterclass
As part of CLAD, Instep is helping Hattrick to deliver their signature Net Zero Masterclass, a course endorsed by the United Nations.
This programme not only provides in-depth climate education but also certifies participants as Carbon Literate, equipping them with the tools to lead with sustainability at the forefront.
Angela Roberts, Head of Product Solutions at Instep, who attended the masterclass from November 13th to 14th, shared her experience:
“The informative and thought-provoking training has really opened my eyes into not only what I can do individually, but what we as a team/organisation can do to support the UK’s pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 81% by 2035 compared to 1990 levels. I’m now off to carefully consider my individual and group pledges to start to drive some action!”
Hattrick Partnership: Supporting Our Shared Vision
Our partnership with Hattrick is rooted in shared values—namely, advancing gender equality, climate action, and quality education, all of which align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With Hattrick’s commitment to impactful social initiatives and a member of their team currently participating in Instep’s “Women in Leadership” program, our collaboration reflects our joint mission to create inclusive, informed leadership.
Expanding Opportunities to Level 5 Apprentices
We’re particularly excited to extend the invitation to participate in Climate Literacy Action Day to our Level 5 apprenticeship cohorts.
Opening this opportunity beyond just our Women in Leadership participants allows even more learners to become Carbon Literate, gaining invaluable skills to drive sustainability in their respective fields.
This expansion aligns with our commitment to inclusivity and ensures that a broader group of future leaders can contribute to this year’s powerful theme of Climate Inclusion.
Building a Global Community of Climate Literacy Leaders
By partnering with Hattrick, Instep aims to contribute to a growing global network of climate-conscious leaders.
Together, we’re empowering our learners to not only gain certification but also connect with a worldwide community committed to climate literacy and actionable change.
We’re looking forward to seeing the impact that our joint efforts will make on November 14, and to supporting a more sustainable, inclusive future.
Updates from COP29
COP29, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, has been a pivotal event for global climate action. Key updates include Brazil’s submission of its new climate action plan (NDC 3.0), which sets ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across all sectors. The UK also announced a new target of cutting emissions by 81% by 2035.
These developments underscore the urgency and commitment needed to meet the Paris Agreement’s goals.
At Instep, we’re excited for the journey ahead with Hattrick and grateful to be part of an initiative as transformative as Climate Literacy Action Day.
Together, we will work towards building a climate-conscious world, one learner at a time.
