Programme Delivery

 All modules are either trainer-led remote training session or self-paced distance learning on our dedicated virtual learning environment (VLE).

Tutor support sessions every six weeks.

 All trainer-led training days are delivered across three online sessions at the following times:

9am – 10:30am

11am – 12:30pm

1:30pm – 4pm

Programme Details

Data Collection and Manipulation

• Types of data and formats
• Locate, collect, extract, clean and blend data from a variety of sources using Excel, PowerBI and SQL
• Introduction to R and how it can be used to collate, clean and format data to facilitate processing and detailed analysis by others

Data Analysis and Visualisation

Introduction to basic statistical analysis and simple data modelling. Using Excel, PowerBI, SQL and R to:

• Visualise and present data in an appropriate format
• Analyse structured and unstructured data using basic statistical methods to support decision making
• Create reports to present the results appropriate to the audience

Presenting the Analysis

• Data Validation
• Common data errors
• Steps taken to produce the results
• Measures to store, manage and distribute results in line with organisational requirements, legal and regulatory requirements
• Communicating the results in an appropriate format and with the audience in mind

Introduction to AI

• What is AI?
• AI Concepts, Terminology and how it has been used
• AI Issues, Concerns and Ethical considerations
• Where AI is going and how it can be used for analysing data

Introduction to Machine Learning

• Basics of Machine Learning
• Model learning – what is it and how it is used
• Introduction to Neural Networks
• Image Analysis

Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel (Opt)

• Manage worksheets and workbooks
• Manage data cells and ranges
• Manage tables and table data
• Perform operations by using formulas and functions
• Manage charts

Assessment Gateway & EPA Preparation

• EPA Preparation – Dedicated one-to-one sessions to support the learner as they head towards assessment, putting them in the best possible position for achievement
• Assessment Phase – EPA can take up to 3 months to complete. This involves Scenario Demonstrations with questioning and a Professional discussion with portfolio
