National Apprenticeships Week, 7th – 13th February 2022

This year marked the 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships & we brought together the businesses and apprentices across the country with whom we work to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Watch the official video here #NAW2022 Launch video – YouTube

The theme of the week was “build the future,” reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.

Myth Busting

The myth: 20% off the job training means not doing your job one day a week

The truth: Off the job training includes a variety of activities as long as you apply new learning. For a large percentage of the time, this can be achieved by changing the way you do your job as a result of what you have learned.

Congratulations to all of our learners and here are just a few learner stories

Hodel Hussain – Supervisor – Fox Biscuits

“Throughout my journey with instep, I have learnt to manage and develop my team members with a different dynamic. It has given me more confidence in interacting & communicating. I have also gained more in depth knowledge  on managing key projects!”

Kieran Adams – Sodexo

“This course has been the best thing I could have done. It has shown me so many ways I can be an effective leader/manager. It has given me so much more confidence”.

And congratulations to Amy Lawler who passed her retail leader awareness session at Poundland.

Company apprenticeship programmes

We are delighted to be working with Bakkavor, & applications to their 2022 apprenticeship programme are now open. They are looking for 60 passionate and talented apprentices to join our award-winning programme.

And we are working with Poundland & Dealz with programmes open to team leaders & supervisors

And we’d like to thank Emma ReasonSue Davison FIH (she/her) and Duncan Limbert MCIPD for their amazing support with the Grow with Sodexo leadership and management programme who launched the management and leadership programme in partnership with us nearly a year ago!

Proud to be part of a programme that is making a real difference to real people like Kieran Adamswho said “this programme has helped me be a better manager and I have also learn so much about myself as a person”.

From changing lives & upskilling for the future, instep would like to thank every learner, business and team member for their positive contribution to a better tomorrow. Thank you so much for working with us.
