Learning at Work Week, May 2022

Learning at Work Week is a unique annual event to build learning cultures at work!

This year we aim to put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of continual learning and development.

It focuses on deepening our understanding, knowledge and engagement in lifelong and continual learning by exploring:

  • Why it’s important to be lifelong learners and support lifelong learning
  • How we can initiate and support lifelong learning as individuals and in our work communities
  • The opportunities and benefits that lifelong learning offers for work and life

To support this initiative, here at Instep, we are running a series of free sessions during the week:

Monday 16 May

Join us to celebrate Learning at Work Week, starting with an interview with our CEO Andy Murphy.

The first session of this exciting week kicks off with an interview with our CEO Andy Murphy and is Co-hosted by Customer Solutions Manager Steff Hodgson. During the session, Andy will discuss the value of learning at work and share insights about the opportunities and support that contribute to a thriving learning culture in the workplace and, crucially, the importance of leadership support and engagement.

The Value and Potential Return in Creating Culture of Learning – A Conversation

As our CEO, Andy Murphy, explained at the start of the week, there are many advantages and gains to be realised when we instil a culture of learning and growth in our workplaces, teams, and individual colleagues.

But how do we go about creating and maintaining a thriving learning culture that all colleagues, at all levels, can be part of and access?

In this conversation, Ben Hardman from Instep UK will facilitate a round table conversation about what works well, what are considered vital components to achieve and maintain such a culture, and what we need to be mindful of as leaders in our workplaces.
