Interpersonal Skills

Interpersonal Skills

Good interpersonal skills are key to strong management, successful negotiations and attracting and retaining customers. Indeed, the best people in business are those who are adept at interacting with others.

Some people are intuitive when it comes to successfully working with colleagues or clients, but learning how to better understand ourselves and others can pay dividends in terms of improving performance.

All our training is delivered by experienced trainers who have a passion for helping individuals achieve business and personal success.

Training can be designed and delivered as one or two-day workshops, or we can create a complete core curriculum tailored to your specific business needs.

Developing Interpersonal Skills at Blackburn and Darwen Borough Council [Hover over to pause]

The council wished to move away from training to learning and put a greater focus on mentoring, coaching and co-coaching within organisation. Instep were therefore asked to design and deliver an accredited coaching programme to develop this coaching culture. A master class introducing the programme and a selection process ensured that the nine places available were filled with participants who were fully committed both to developing themselves by attending the programme and their subsequent coaching role. The seven-module programme included both theory and practice and also provided additional support for the participants with Coaching Supervision Days. The employees selected to be coached also attended a session outlining what was going to happen and reviewed any concerns that they may have regarding the process. To evaluate and gain additional feedback, a review and one-to-one interviews with the participants is due to take place.

Developing Interpersonal Skills at RWE npower [Hover over to pause]

In September 2008, Instep was awarded preferred supplier status for their contract to deliver workshops within their ‘General Business Skills’ programme. Since then we have been working closely with the Corporate Learning and Development team to provide a series of one and two workshops in order to meet a wide range of development needs, as well as dovetail into other existing Learning and Development initiatives. Recently we have been also working on a number of design and delivery projects for RWE Renewables.
