Our highly skilled trainer and consultant team are amongst the best in the industry - coming from the ‘real world’; many are former directors and managers themselves and have experience working in a variety of both public and private sectors. We work hard to find, recruit and then immerse them into the Instep approach, so that when you meet them you not only hear and see their love for people development, but also experience their dedication to excellent customer service that Instep prides itself on.
Key to providing our great level of ‘proper’ customer service (something that seems all too rare nowadays) is the amazing Client Services team we have created. Peter Hitchen, Director and Co-founder
As Director and Co-founder of Instep, it’s Peter’s responsibility to steer and manage the strategic direction of Instep.
Having studied and pursued an early career as a scientist, Peter brings both an analytical mind and a methodical approach to the business.
After co-founding Instep in 1992, Peter has led the business through success story after success story – from working with some of the North West’s top 10 businesses (United Utilities, Co-operative Financial Services, Bentley and PZ Cussons) to winners of a national training award for outstanding people development.

There’s a lot after nearly 20 years, otherwise we wouldn’t be still enjoying running Instep, but the best moments are always when we get feedback from individuals stating how we’ve helped make a real improvement to their working lives, which then benefits their organisation.
